Welcome to my newest class, everyone. Welcome if this is your first lesson with me. You will be guided through this creative workshop by me, Jen. I own Bella + Sophia Creative studio and work as a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and instructor.

I wanted to use today’s lesson to explore our graphic design abilities by using Glyphs and Affinity Designer to create typefaces. I’ll walk you through every step I take to create a hand-drawn font, including brainstorming, sketching, digitising in Affinity Designer, and entering your letterforms into the Glyphs programme (Mac version).

I wanted to show that there are other options and that I have found that the Affinity programme can be used to perform similar things because I find that courses linked to font/typeface creation are frequently done nearly solely in Adobe software.
